Letter From the Founder
I grew up surrounded by exquisite gems and the stories they held. My family’s historic gem business gave me early access to extraordinary stones and an enduring appreciation for craftsmanship and authenticity.
When I founded RUCHI New York in 2018, I sought to reimagine that legacy through a modern lens — creating jewelry that is versatile, distinctive, and timeless. My designs draw inspiration from my travels across the world, where cultures, colors, and architecture converge to form a global aesthetic. Each piece is an expression of art and emotion — a reflection of life’s vibrancy and individuality.
Where Discovery Meets Design
Ruchi's creative spirit is fueled by her innate curiosity and love of travel and nature. Rather than adhering to a singular style, the designer plays with colorful gems and diamonds in a painterly way, creating a range of styles and themes as diverse as the places she visits.
A family trip to California’s Anza-Borrego Desert State Park inspired dreamy floral jewels in a rainbow of pastel-colored gems, and a visit to the tropical rainforest gave way to vibrant and fluid emerald and ruby designs. Ruchi is continuously exploring and creating new ways to portray precious stones in stylish designs that allow women to express their individuality and tell their own stories.

In Ruchi’s international workshops, generations of master artisans bring visionary designs to life, blending heritage craftsmanship with contemporary innovation. Using rare and intricate techniques, they craft gold in unique hues like black and blue, apply satin and matte finishes, and incorporate delicate enamel work.

RUCHI New York strictly adheres to the Kimberly Process established in 2003 by UN General Assembly to prevent conflict diamonds from entering the mainstream rough diamond.
We work with suppliers who offer fair pay, safe working conditions, respect local indigenous people and protect the environment. All RUCHI New York pieces are made with conflict-free gold and conflict-free diamonds in our pieces.
