At the heart and helm of the house is Ruchi herself, an inherent creative force fueled by her love of travel and nature. Her family’s historic gem business gave Ruchi access to some of the world’s most remarkable and exotic stones, which became the foundation for RUCHI New York, launched in 2018. Since then, the brand has adorned several red carpet events, from the Oscars to the Emmys, and has been patronized by countless A-list celebrities, including Oprah Winfrey, First Lady Dr. Biden, Jennifer Coolidge, Sarah Jessica Parker, and many more.
As an entrepreneur and mother, Ruchi is committed to women’s financial empowerment through partnerships with charities that support women from underprivileged backgrounds.

A family trip to California’s Anza-Borrego Desert State Park inspired dreamy floral jewels in a rainbow of pastel-colored gems, and a visit to the tropical rainforest gave way to vibrant and fluid emerald and ruby designs. Ruchi is continuously exploring and creating new ways to portray precious stones in stylish designs that allow women to express their individuality and tell their own stories.
